We passed by Cathedrale and saw a sign for $5 bites and $9 drinks during their happy hour so we decided to stop by. This had to be one of the best happy hours I've done in the city. The $5 bites featured mini lobster rolls, steak tartare, prosciutto with melon, etc. and also included $2 oysters. Everything was so yummy. Drinks were $7 for champagne(?), $9 for a spritz, and $12 for martinis (I may be misremembering the prices for the champagne and spritz). They also gave us free bread and olives. Our bartender was lovely as well. Overall, would come again!

Came here for my sister's 21st birthday and she was totally impressed by the drama of this place. The super grand ceiling. The perfectly plated dishes. A chance to try things for the first time. Excellent service and personal touches for her celebration. It was a night she will definitely remember and that's what counts. Really glad we opted for this place for the occasion. The steak tartar was so well flavored. I loved my lamb chops - great spice rub on them. The truffle fettuccine could have had a bit more booming flavor. The pistachio creme brûlée was awesome. Cocktails on point! We will be back for another event.

The ceiling is so beautiful here. High ceilings, and a cool cathedral like installation on the ceiling. Definitely a cute, "wow your date" spot. (I was wow'ed, Lol) We ordered the halibut, sea bass, and macaroni gratin. Sea bass was the favorite - well cooked & tender, beautiful dish, came with clams, and a really unique flavored broth! -- celery/fennel, boullabaise-like, caramelized onions, garlic, it was a super light broth along with the fish, but then a dollop of the smoky & spicy aioli and (I think?) pancetta on top of the fish creates this cool contrast between light & herby / smoky, spicy, heavy. I really enjoyed it. Cool too, because a lot of high-end restaurants will choose very standard pairings with sea bass -- lately, a thai curry sauce, or a sweet soy sauce -- some creativity was had here which is nice. Partner loved the halibut - I tasted some and thought it tasted unique as well - light & buttery. I'd order both again. I didn't like the macaroni gratin as much as other reviewers did. It tasted like any other macaroni side - heavy, cheesy, filling. Standard crowd pleasing side, I didn't find it very unique beyond the fact it was one long noodle wrapped into a cinnamon roll shape. The ham didn't do much for me. I mightve liked a crispier meat topping. Easy to cut though! Like a lasagna. We had the creme brulee for dessert. With the passion fruit & rhubarb, a lot more tart than your standard creme brulee. I thought it was yummy, but not my favorite creme brulee, as this one was sort of gooey & I like my creme brulees with a little more structure. Anyway, very cute date night spot & do not skip the seafood. This place is better known for the pastas and steaks, but the seafood did not disappoint.

Such a beautiful, grand space! I came here with a friend for dinner earlier this week. We made a reservation but there were some open tables (probably because it was a Monday night). Service was quick and attentive. Everything we ordered was delicious. The Saint Simon cocktail was sweet without being too over powering and we loved the tuna crudo and artichoke hors d'oeuvre plates. For our mains we ordered the Atlantic Halibut (a must order, the lemon sauce and roe made this such a unique and flavorful dish) and the black truffle fettuccine (rich, a great dish to share). We also tried the Chocolate Soufflé (sooo good, we'd come back just for that) and Sorrento Lemon (light and a great palate cleanser). Will definitely be back next time I'm in the neighborhood!

Worth every dollar. I was flabbergasted, delivered & deliciously content with the service by Mr. Robin who was patient and kind. I was brought to this lovely establishment due to celebrating my friend's birthday. We girlies that love the finer things this was the place for us. Everything was fresh and perfect. An epic experience which is great for a romantic date night or for group of friends for an intimate dinner. Much obliged!

A visit to Cathedrale is perfect for a special occasion. The ambience is unique, the food is great and plated with thoughtful attention to detail, and offers a fantastic selection of cocktails. Not to mention the complimentary bread and butter that is the softest we've had! The Warm Dates, Burrata, and Rotisserie Chicken were all excellent, while the Atlantic Halibut was a tad chewy. I've visited Cathedrale 3 times since it opened in September 2019, including in its opening week. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor sections, each offering a unique vibe. The place gets quite busy during peak times, which is when service is slow and a meal can take 2-3 hours. Overall, the experience of visiting Cathedrale is excellent and I'd recommend a visit.

Came here for nyc restaurant week and got their pre-fix menu- which was $60 pp. My highlights 1. Milk bread was literal crack and the highlight of the evening. Their butter blows every other kind of butter out of the water 2. Appetizers: grilled octopus and burrata- both are decent, but nothing out of the ordinary 3. Entrees: hanger steak and rotisserie chicken. The portions are surprisingly decent. Steak was more on the bland side, and chicken was okay 4. Desserts: chocolate cake was very good, but was not a fan of the other one. Ambiance: came here for the interior decor. They have one of the prettiest ceiling decor. Overall experience: portion size was decent for restaurant week, but food quality was overall just average. It was a good dining experience nonetheless.
